Watson & Levy was established in 1912 by William Watson, who was succeeded by his son, Donald Watson in 1936. Both William and Donald Watson were British Oversea Members of the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents. Both were highly respected practitioners and Donald Watson was a past president of the Argentine Association of Industrial Property Agents.

Our firm specializes in Intellectual Property matters. Our services include preparing, filing and prosecuting patent, trademark and design applications in Argentina and, through associate firms, throughout the world. We could also coordinate filing programs in Latin American countries, including distribution of our Spanish translations to associates designated by our clients, and/or prosecute counterpart patent and trademark applications in Latin American countries through our own associates, if required by our foreign or local clients.

We also offer litigation services in respect of patent and trademark infringement, trademark oppositions, licensing and related matters, including domain name registration and litigation.

Victor J. Levy joined the firm in 1970 as a partner and is now its senior partner. He is a graduate Mechanical Engineer and has an extensive experience in both technology and IP, acquired in Argentina with a major local IP firm, and in the US, where he attended post-graduate courses, worked in industry and with a well-known international patent firm, handling patent prosecution throughout the world.
